Hilary Lawrence is a trust and estates attorney with experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate proceedings.  Her expertise lies in creating customized estate plans to ensure that her clients’ well-being is protected during their lifetimes and that their wishes are carried out after their deaths.  She prides herself on clearly explaining complex estate planning concepts and providing her clients with peace of mind. 

Prior to moving to San Diego and joining Lancier Legal, Hilary worked in estate planning and probate in her native northern California, and more recently, in Orange County.  She also enjoyed several years as a military spouse living in Japan, where she worked at the Camp Foster Legal Assistance Office.  There, she completed estate planning documents for active-duty military and their dependents, advised military widows on probate and trust matters, and received the 2018 Distinguished Service Award from the ABA’s Standing Committee on Legal Assistance for Military Personnel.

Hilary attended law school at Brigham Young University and Stanford Law School.  During law school, she was an editor of the BYU Law Review and a research assistant to several professors.  She graduated summa cum laude in 2014, and was shortly thereafter admitted to the California State Bar.
